Self Improvement is Worth the Investment

Invest your time and energy

We all have the same amount of time in a day… 24 hours. How you choose to spend your time and energy during those hours determines the quality of your life, especially your health and relationships. Unfortunately, too many people are living their lives at a fast pace, trying to accomplish too much and not allowing enough time for their health. The fact is you don’t have to create more time. You can, however, utilize the time you already have more effectively.

Take time to write your plan

By taking the time to write out a simple plan, you will actually save yourself more time and energy in the long run. Once you have your plan written, be sure to stay focused on it. Carry it around with you, keep it on your smart phone or post it where you can see it every day. Getting into the right state of mind by being absolutely clear of where you are; know exactly what you want for yourself and why you want it.

Invest in yourself mentally

Get your mind invested mentally by knowing the consequences of your actions. Know what will happen if you don’t make the change. Be fully aware of how desperately you hurt yourself as well as those you care for when you don’t take care of yourself. Think about your rewards. Keep these thoughts in the forefront of your mind. Investing in yourself mentally with this type of clarity and leverage is important.

Get Emotionally Invested

To invest yourself emotionally, not only do you need to know the consequences of your actions, but you also must deeply feel consequences of your outcomes. Let yourself feel the truth of what is happening in your life.Emotionalize your “Why” and let nothing stop you. The more you invest emotionally, the more charge you can add to your momentum, which leads to quicker, more sustainable results.

Go through and actually visualize your answers to the following questions. Do not just read them, go deep and become connected with what you truly and genuinely want for yourself:

  1. If you could have your health and vitality exactly how you wanted it (as if you could paint your perfect picture of it), what would it be? Feel it.
  2. What would be the best part about it?
  3. Why would that be the best part about it?
  4. Of those you care about, who would be the most influenced in a positive way by you being in your best health and vitality?
  5. Who do you love and who loves you the most?
  6. Who are the people in your life that you would be able to help?
  7. How would being in your ultimate health and vitality improve your career? Imagine it.
  8. How would this affect your finances?
  9. What would your life be like five and ten years from now if your health and vitality was exactly how you wanted it?
  10. What would be the best part about it?
  11. Why would that be the best part?

Invest in yourself financially

The most effective investment you can make in yourself is financially. Think about it. When you have successfully seen things all the way through to the end, it is usually because you have backed it up with a significant financial investment. College is one of them. For example, just school loans can take nearly 10 years to pay off on average. After making an investment of that size, a person is basically guaranteed to follow through

If you were to review the business opportunities that you have persevered through all the challenges, most likely you would find that they were the ones where you had a sizable investment. If your investment were small, then you would think nothing of moving onto the net thing. So, invest yourself on every level, especially financially.

These are just a few of the steps that you can take immediately that will set you apart from the masses. The point is to take action. Invest in yourself to set yourself up to win. It is the smartest investment you will ever make.
